Abraham Ayyad (December 4-7th, 2020 #HMM9ANJDFK) initially contacted us and asked if we could reduce our rates for him. He stated that he was on a very tight budget since being adversely affected by the COVID19 pandemic but really wanted to have a stay. We explained that the rates were already reduced due to the pandemic, but he was persistent in asking for a discount saying otherwise he was going to book elsewhere. We let him know that he could book elsewhere at a different rate, but our prices weren’t going to change. A couple days later, he booked anyway with us. He said it was going to be about 8 people, however only made his reservation for 4. We let him know that we charge based on occupancy to keep the costs low for smaller groups in such an in-demand property. Abraham then became irate and very rude calling us scammers and such explicit terms to express his displeasure. At this point, we contacted Airbnb and told them we were uncomfortable hosting Abraham and his group due to the threatening nature of his communications and outbursts upon being told the house rules. Airbnb told us that we would be PENALIZED if we cancelled the reservation as they saw no reason we should not host Abraham. We called and also sent airbnb emails pleading to not allow him to rent our home after stating several things that made us very uncomfortable.

Upon check-in Abraham disclosed to the host that in addition to the 8 people he would be having (that he refused to pay for) he was planning to have a few “girls” *wink*wink* over. Despite our requests for him to not have anyone but the 4 registered guests, he did not comply- and proceeded to throw a party, trashing our beloved family home.

All of our properties are non-smoking. We have signs posted as well as make sure each and every guest reads and signs a rules sheet so that there are no misunderstandings. They smoked cigarettes and marijuana inside the home- leaving it smelling terribly, ash all over the house including in the bedrooms, basement, kitchen, living rooms and bathrooms, plus burns in the carpets, and leftover drugs and ash on the tables and a nightstand. In addition to the smoke damage and burns throughout the house, some type of oil was spilled in crazy patterns all over the carpet in one of the bedrooms in front of a mirror at the foot of the bed- where they also moved our expensive cushioned hallway bench to in front of the mirror. After hours of carpet cleaning and spot cleaning the carpet, and with the acknowledgement of the new burns along the hallway carpet we had to remove the upstairs carpet due to the damages of Abraham and his group.

They also left excessive garbage, filth, dirty tissues on the floors, and something yellow spilled (possibly urine) all over the hardwood floors and inside the refrigerator. An extraordinary amount of cleaning went into putting this property back together and we had to cancel reservations on our home for an additional week for repairs.
